Sorry, I'm a bit lost. Don't you have this tab (see attached).

I downloaded it to test out the repeated-measures effect size calculations, but the free edition doesn't appear to have bingo here an extra statistics tab at all.

Same here, are the extra statistic tabs in the paid version?

The full version now does everything the old free version did even once the expiry date is hit. Basically, the pro version reverts to the free version after 30 days and also has quite a few extras after that date too. It was designed so that an undergraduate student would not need to pay for it to do their thesis. I was once a student and remember not having money to buy the software I needed to finish my thesis so made sure others wouldn't have this problem.

Daenris,

I don't know what you mean. The ESG does allow negative numbers and the extra stats tab is definitely there. Are you sure you're not confusing terms? Have you got the latest version from here: http://www.clintools.com/download/download.html

As of 11th Jan 2011 the direct link is: http://www.clintools.com/download/ClinTools41-Vista-Support-Locked.exe

Hmm... I downloaded the effect size generator free 2.3 which in parenthesis said current version from here: http://www.clintools.com/victims/resources/software/effectsize/effect_size_generator.html
It appears this is not actually the current version, and it does not include the extra stats tab, and would not allow me to enter a negative sign in the mean box.  I wasn't interested in installing the full package, as I only wanted the Effect Size Generator, so I followed the download link for that.

The newest version appears to work fine.

I just downloaded the Effect Size Generator software to calculate some Cohen's d values.  The program does not allow me to enter a negative sign in the Mean fields, so I can not enter my true group mean values.  Is there a reason why it doesn't allow negative values?  There should be no statistical reason to exclude negative group means from calculation as I have used other Cohen's d calculators successfully with negative values before.

Also, as a side question, is the "Extra Statistics" tab only present on the Pro edition?  I downloaded it to test out the repeated-measures effect size calculations, but the free edition doesn't appear to have an extra statistics tab at all.
