I have a question re: one of the features on the Effect Size Generator. Specifically, I'm not familiar with "Cohen's d based on sample size [Hedges adjustment]". Can you explain how this value is derived? Thank you in advance.
P.M.

Dear PM,

Open the effect size generator help file and go to the "Contents" tab and then select the "Hedges Adjustment" topic (under the "Effect Size Generator Statistics" help book) - we explain it there. Personally, I don't see why one would want to use this adjustment on d (because if you had that detail of data then you'd probably use Hedges' g instead of half the equation to adjust d) but we did have a couple of users who requested this so we dutifully made it available.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Dev
